Hand cast polyresin is strong and durable but like ceramic must be treated with care.  Rough handling can cause chipping, cracking or breakage to occur. ''Rough'' handling may also occur when placing in dishwasher to clean.

Our resin is safe for presentation of food and dishwasher safe to 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees fahrenheit). Be careful of using harsh chemical dish dertergent, as this may affect the finish.  It is best to use warm ''soapy'' water to clean the item.  Matte resin can become "frosted" in dry weather or after washing and  should be refreshed by wiping lightly with a cooking oil or furniture polish(for non-food use only).  The vivid colors will be restored immediately.

Resin is not fireproof and should not come into direct contact with heat hotter than 70 degrees Celsius (158 degrees Fahenheit). Do not use as ashtray.  Tealight holders are for use with tealights with metal bases only.  Do not use tealight holders lenses with votives or any candle without a fireproof base.  Tealights must be centered in the recess provided on the products and should only be used areas free from drafts or breezes. (**)

 **Do not place candle holders with a lit candle near anything flamable (ie. Drapes, fluids, Christmas Trees..etc.....and anything else that can catch fire by accident..) 

When cleaning, do not use harsh chemical agents and/or soap and sponges that contain abrasives.   This will ''scratch the surface,and will 'dull' the finish.  For best results, simply use a soft cloth or sponge with warm water with a mild soap.
